COVID-19 Prevention on Campus
Protect & Respect
The best way for us to ensure the safety of everyone in our RLNC family, and those in the surrounding communities, is to continue to follow the science, the latest data, and our 7 Ojibwe Values of COURAGE, LOVE, HUMILITY, WISDOM, HONESTY, TRUTH and RESPECT.

COVID-19 & Variants
COVID-19 remains an ongoing concern, especially with the more contagious Delta variant that is spreading throughout the nation. As of mid-August the community transmission is considered a “high” transmission rate and is evidence that the pandemic is not yet over.
COVID-19 Vaccines
All COVID-19 vaccines in the U.S. have been approved for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Formal approval is expected this fall (Sept./Oct. 2021.) The COVID-19 vaccine is a required condition of employment for all RLNC faculty and staff and has been added to those immunizations already required of all students. Students have until the end of Fall 2021 to comply. Unvaccinated students must attend classes online until such time as they are fully vaccinated.

Mandatory Masks on RLNC Red Lake Campus
Masks must be worn over nose and mouth in all indoor public spaces and classrooms at RLNC. Reusable masks are encouraged. Extra masks are available from RLNC Reception.
Temp Checks &
Physical Distancing
Temperature checks are required to enter the RLNC campus in Red Lake. Physical distancing of at least 3 feet is required in classrooms; 6 feet wherever possible.

& Enhanced Cleaning
Frequent hand washing and sanitizing is encouraged.
Our maintenance team conducts enhanced cleaning/disinfecting of all RLNC campus facilities.
