Presidents Club of Excellence
Background
The Red Lake Nation College (RLNC) honors students of high academic success and progress. Beyond academics, RLNC believes in recognizing leadership within the college and surrounding communities. In pursuit of these values, the President's Club of Excellence empowers students who strive for excellence and amplifies their achievement on and off campus.


Practice

Any RLNC staff or faculty member may recommend a student for membership in the.

President’s Club of Excellence by submitting a President’s Club of Excellence Recommendation Form to the Registrar’s Office.

Upon conclusion of each semester, the Registrar’s Office will provide the RLNC.

President with a list of all eligible and recommended students for the President’s Club.

The RLNC President serves as the personal mentor to all students in the Club.
-
The President’s Club meets for lunch once every other month during the school year.
Purpose
-
To recognize, reward, and advance RLNC’s top students.

To encourage more top students to attend RLNC Policy.
-
All students focus on academic excellence and leadership who earn a GPA of 3.70 - 4.0 automatically receive membership in the President’s Club of Excellence.

Students who display leadership skills, or the potential for leadership, in the college or community may be recommended for membership by RLNC staff or faculty.

Student members must maintain their GPA, positive leadership, and follow all RLNC policies and procedures in order to retain their membership.
Members receive:

A framed President’s Club of Excellence membership certificate
-
An official President’s Club of Excellence t-shirt and jacket
-
Leadership training and opportunities to accompany the RLNC President and represent RLNC at regional and national tribal college events.
